Emerging business owners often do not understand that planning is the key to getting things done and making things happen. Consider this scenario – if you are taking a long trip and want to cover several cities/states, seeing main attractions and securing lodgings along the way . . . what do you do? You go the bank, pick up some cash, hop into your car and take off, right? Probably not! You prepare and plan/ “google”, research and map out where you want to go, make reservations and so on . . . Disappointment comes from poor planning. Business planning stresses the importance of a sound business plan. A plan is absolutely essential if you are to have any chance for success in your business venture. If you operate without a proper business plan, the chances are that your business will not be set up for optimal success. Preparing the Plan is just as important as writing the plan itself.
